Principal Skills Ltd. provide qualification ranging from apprenticeships to short courses in the learners place of employment. Our highly experienced and dedicated assessors work in partnership with care home managers to produce naturally occurring evidence that supports the requirements of courses undertaken by individuals.
Regular meeting between learners and their assessor not only builds productive working relationships but also ensure everyone involved knows how progress is being made towards the achievement of nationally recognised qualifications.
Having worked in the Health sector for a number of years, our assessors are vocationally experience and educated to a high level to enable them to support and guide their learners.

Level 5 Apprenticeship in Leadership for Health and Social Care
The level 5 Apprenticeship in Leadership for Health and Social Care gives you the opportunity to increase your career opportunities and earning potential. You can also be confident at Inspections that you fully meet any Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
As a learner with Principal Skills Ltd you have the flexibility to complete a recognised vocational qualification in your own work environment, and in your own time, allowing you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Health and Social Care sector.
This qualification, which replaces the Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services and the Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social care, is for people who work in the health and social care sector either as managers of the provision or as senior practitioners including assistants and deputy managers.
This qualification allows you to develop your managerial and care skills and is therefore ideal for those looking to become managers of adult residential and domiciliary services or to be an advanced practitioner.

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults)
The level 3 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults) is ideal if you are working in a care setting and you have some level of responsibility in your workplace. At times you will work unsupervised. Perhaps you aspire to be a Senior Care Worker, or maybe you want to develop or demonstrate your existing skills in this field.
This qualification provides an excellent platform for those candidates working in care settings or working in a service users own home. Therefore this qualification would suit the following groups of people:
- Care Assistants, support and key workers in adult residential settings.
- Care assistants, support and key workers in day services, or domiciliary services.
- Healthcare assistants and support workers in primary care and community environments or in acute health environments.
- Support workers in ‘Supported living’ initiatives and projects.
This qualification may also suit personal assistants for individuals, or the families of those individuals, who employ them direct.
Level 2 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults)
The level 2 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a suitable qualification for those who are just starting employment in the care industry or who are already working as a care assistant/worker. It can help you increase your skills & understanding of this sector as well as enhance your practice.
Your assessor will support and guide you through your qualification using a holistic approach to enable you to achieve all of the components that make up the full award. Once completed you may progress onto the Level 3 Diploma where some of the work you have completed in the Level 2 may count towards this.
Level 2 Cleaning and Support Services
The level 2 Cleaning and Support Service is a suitable qualification for those of you currently working in the cleaning environment who are more experienced in cleaning and support and need to broaden their skills or specialise in one or more areas to allow them to progress in their career – Activities within the qualification include cleaning and maintenance of surfaces and areas both internal and external. Cleaning of high risk areas plus cleaning and maintaining of soft floors and furnishings.
The qualification consists of;

- Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principals
